Mike Stephens found a problem with his air filter for his 447 (single carb). As he was cleaning the filter a rubber plug fell from the filter. This rubber plug could potentially get sucked up into the carb/engine! If you have this type of air filter you may want to look and make sure you don’t have the same problem.

Mike’s Email on it “The "Plug"....the plug was simply that little piece of rubber, left over (by design) from the rubber injection process during manufacturing, and was apparently designed keep the hole plugged unless you needed the hole for a positive crankcase vent connection, or something like that??? The "thin wall" of rubber that held the plug in place was probably designed to serve as a "knock out", but was simply too thin, which is why it fell out.”
